QUESTION:
Those coupons...If Dell has a deal currently on a monitor running(before the coupon), and I use the coupon will I get the deal as well as the coupon? Or can you only do one?

It depends if they are stackabkle.

OK, quick review on Hyundai L90D+. So far it is pretty good. Extremely bright, good color rendition, great for gaming and movies.

Pros: Fairly inexpensive (as far as decent 19" LCDs go). Colors and text look great. Gaming is very good, no ghosting or anything. Movies looked crisp and sharp ( I watched Oceans 12).

Cons: I got a dead pixel :(. It is right in the lower right, so it isn't too obnoxious. Also, it is red, so I can only really see it on a black background.

Overall, I chose this monitor because of price, size, great reviews, refresh rate, and resolution (My 6600gt would choke at 1600x1200 in some games). Overall I give it 9.5/10. I would recommend this monitor to anyone who wanrted a great 19" monitor in the $300-400 range.

BTW - I noticed a dfference in gaming from my old CRT when I first hooked it up, but I quickly became used to the LCD and it looks fine to me now. In fact, I seem to be doing a little better in CS:S :p...

There are different resolutions. Mosr CRT mnitors have a ration of 4:#, so they can use resolutions like 1024x768 and 1600x1200... Many LCDs use 5:4, so they use 1280x1024. Widescreen lcds are either 16:9 or 16:10 IIRC. Thjis means they can use resolutions such as 1680x1050.

Some games may not support these resolutions, however (*cough* BF2 *cough*). Then you will have to use a smaller size resloution. Depending on your monitor, it will either spread it out or add letterboxes. When it streches itnout, images can become a little blurry and text may be harder to read. Gaming shouldn't suffere *too* much however...

1280x1024

That is why I disagree. I paid $120 more for a 2001FP that's 1" viewable bigger and 1600x1200 (standard and true 4:3 resolution).

Yes, but not all video cards can run that resolution. My OCed 6600gt can tear through 1280x1024 2x2x in HL2 and CS:S (80+ FPS), but 1600x1200 with no AA/AF, and the framerates start to drop off (40 FPS average)... If you have a good high end video card and the extra money for the display, go for it...

This is a link that can give you a little information on how all those measurements come into play. From what I hear, it seems as though you can't go wrong with a Dell LCD.

Yes, the dell 1905FP was my other choice. On sale, I was hoping for it to drop around $300... It has similar specs to the hyundai. Either one would have benn great!
