Anyone use the vp191b for gaming?
DO NOT TOUCH IT!

Im using a Dell 2001fp on my main rig, wife has a Viewsonic VP201b on hers.
I really liked her Viewsonic so when i decided to grab a 19" for my backup pc, I headed to Newegg to checkout the Viewsonics again.

The VP191b had good reviews, and people said gaming on it was great since they dropped the response time down to 16ms.

So i grabbed one. (note: this was just 2 weeks ago!)
And yes i have one of the newer models, it was manufactured on Dec. 18th 2004.

It does fine in some games like Call Of Duty and Medal of Honor, both play perfect, no ghosting.
But in Doom3 and Half Life 2 i get ghosting.

This is NOT a gaming LCD!
If you want a Viewsonic 19" for gaming, take my advice , go with the VP912B instead!

Not to hijack this thread, but...

I'm in the market for a 17" display, but since I do quite a bit of (non-professional) photo editing, I think an 8bit display would be more appropriate for me. Response time isn't super-critical.

Every time I look at monitor specs, I don't see any indication as to whether a display is 6 or 8 bit. Am I missing some magic keyword or something?

Can anyone recommend a good 8bit LCD? I'd prefer it had DVI inputs.

TIA
