Yup. Not to mention that all signs point to the Dell 2005FPW being basically the same monitor (as the Apple 20"), but in a different package (and the Apple doesn't even let you rotate, to my knowledge). I got my 2005FPW for $564. 🙂

Looking at the photos of the Apple monitor, there doesn't seem to be any way to rotate the screen at all based on the design of the stand.

I am also curious about the cable they use. I know it's one cable for power, usb, and dvi. And Apple has said they have done back to dvi and sperate connectors, rather than their proprietary ADC connector. But what does the other end of the cable look like? How much slack is there for each cable/connector? I would like to see a picture of that.

I'm also not sure I like the location of the USB ports on the monitor, I wish they were on the base but it looks like the base is just a thin piece of machined aluminum. I do like how the controls are touchpads on the side of the monitor though.

For photo work I have to put in a pitch for the Samsung 243T. BAD ASS.

For movies it's OK, a little bit of ghosting. Gaming the same thing... some games seem fine, others (like doom 3) have pretty bad ghosting. It's also great for 3D modeling.

But really, photo work is so amazing on here it's worth the price. And it's not that much more than a grand.
