I got my LCD Monitor today and apparently I some pixels stuck on the right side. It always turn on with green color. I think there are few adjacent together dead pixel. I'm not really sure though. Well I can't tolerate this since I paid $3300 for this LCD and it better be flawless. My reasoning was that my two laptop was perfect with no dead pixel and it has 1400x1050 and 1600x1200 native resolution. The store was sending me a replacement overnight, I hope it will be good this time.

Anyone have LCD that have dead pixel on it ? Is it really that common that some manufacturer have a minimum 8 dead pixel for RMA. I'm starting to lean against CRT again until IBM new manufacturing method that supposed to produce better yield can give us customer a flawless product.

My LCD Monitor model is Eizo Flexscan L771

Well I don't know about what other people are getting, but I just got a Planar 17.4" LCD and it has 1 dead pixel and 4 blueish-green pixels. I'm calling it in to get it replaced also

I wouldn't stand for one dead pixel on an LCD screen. Hell, I didn't even stand for one dead pixel on the NEC FP955 CRT screen I bought recently. It was right in the center of the monitor, and looked bright red in color. How could Quality Control miss this? My second FP955 has no dead pixels that I can see, but ghosting problems so I'm returning this one too.

Here is an interesting press release on the dead pixel issue
