LCD color problems

I have bought this samsung 712n from a guy in anandtech and it worked beautifully with no problems for about a month and it just recently started to go a lil haywire....Every now and then the monitor colors change from normal to everything being redish especially the black-and even when there is no signal going to the monitor, there is still the redish black color within the monitor. i have tried many things to remedy this problem but i guess ive ran out of options and hope maybe someone in this forum shares this problem and has come up with an answer. it buggs the hell out of me, not when i do work, but afterwards when i wanna play my POP3!! >_<!!

try a new cable? Different vid card? Any possible interference in the area? Flourescent lights, etc? Sometimes there's bleed of power/freq that makes stuff whacko.

its a vga cable, i have tried others, but the problem itself doesnt seem to come from the vga cable seeing as how even when its unplugged from the video card, the monitor still displays a redish hue. the radeon 9800pro that i have is not causing this because i have also tried it on a friends monitor. i cant think of an interference, i mean theres a 13" TV about 3ft away. ill look into your suggestion of a power bleed because that might cause that. ill try taht suggestion out, thx

the thing is it cant be a connector problem because even with the cables disconnected, there is still a redish hue on the monitor
