LCD Backlight Bleed

I have a monitor that has a bit of backlight bleed. It is only noticeable when the screen is black, or when watching movies, it is noticeable against the black bars at the topd and bottom.

I'm not sure if I am just seeing things or what, but the backlight seems like it might have gotten a bit worse.

Questions:

Is this a returnable problem?

I also notice a gap between viewing screen and border on the right side, which is slightly larger than on the left side.

I love the monitor, and I don't think it is too much of a problem. If itis just going to happen on the same model replacement, I will just keep this one because I love it. However, if these problems seem to make it defective, I would like to return.

I think what you might have is screen burn. Next the gap may be caused from a poor calibration. Also it may be a defect my best guess for you, is to research screen burn and see if your screen has the symptoms.
