lcd and kvm

Hi, I recently picked up a 17" lcd ( never! going back to crt ) and I have a small problem that I was hoping to get suggestions on.

I have two systems that are sharing the monitor through a linksys 2-port kvm. I was using the same kvm with my old crt and I had no problems with it, however I am getting interference on the lcd.

When both systems are on, my primary system (windows xp) exhibits substantial interference. It sort of looks like you are seeing the scan lines like you would on a crt, (I know lcds don't actualy have scan lines) except the interference is "randomly" showing up all over the screen instead of scanning down the monitor like it would on a crt. What's odd is that my second system (linux) does not appear to have any interference. I tried switching ports on the kvm, but this did not change anything.

Any suggestions?

TIA

I had something similar happen to this on a LCD Monitor. I lowered the refresh to 60hz and it fixed it.

Well, I had my fingers crossed for that one; but unfortunately it didn't help :(

Thanks for the suggestion though!

One thing I noticed is that if i am sitting at the keyboard and both systems are on (so I am seeing the interference on the primary system) and I just unplug the video cable from port 2 on the kvm (from the second system), the interference goes right away. So this leads me to believe that it is not something external (like speakers) that is causing the interference. Is it possible that mismatched impedence from the video cards, or something to that effect is causing the problem??
