LBA or LRG mode for high capacity HD?

My KT7A puts my 20Gig hard drive (spec below) into large access mode if I set the bios to auto-detect.

I am under the impression that new hard drives and bios' can support LBA mode in excess of 8.4Gb, so I select LBA manually rather than run my HD drive in Large mode.

Am I right to do this?

Which is the best mode?
