I'm to lazy to scour the internet searching for the best programs to run in Linux so what are your suggestions?

1. DivX\MPeg Player
2. CD\DVD Burning
3. Internet File sharing
4. Webpage designer
5. Anti Virus

I'm sure there will be more but this is just to get me started...

2 cheers for laziness! It will get you nowhere, good luck 😉

1. mplayer or xine
2. cdrecord
3. dc_gui, gtk-gnutella, ftp, irc
4. vim, quanta, bluefish
5. not needed

1. I use xine.
2. k3b
3. LimeWire, (already mentioned, ftp, irc) though I personally use Kazaa Lite under VMware..
4. Bluefish, or nano in an Eterm for quick editting.
