LAZER VS FACE

I hate, with a burning passion eclipsed by nothing, the act of shaving.

The most advanced razors on earth with the most clever chemically created shaving gels still leave me a bloody, mangled mess.

I believe I've decided my face will face the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station....err.........lazer device.

Has anyone used lazer? I know it works best on dark hair with light skin, I have that profile.

Effectiveness?

Painful?

I've been told $200 a month for 6 months. $1200 and the mach 3 people will never see a dime and I will reign in total victory over facial hair!

Is it permanent? What if goatees come back in style - you'll be left out! Or nuclear winter - you won't be able to grow that shaggy, post-apocalyptic beard and attract a mate!

Not shaving is not an option. That irritates me too.

Post apocalyptic mating..........that's a risk I'm willing to take.

Goatees will never be in fashion outside the local trailer park.

oh screw that attitude. goatees look nice if properly groomed.

why don't you just start taking estrogen? 😕

There is a new invention out there. It is called the electric shaver. Not many use it now, but I believe it will catch on. You should give it a try.

I realize SOME guys can pull off a decent looking goatee.

In my experience, most that have one are not capable of that however.

Electric razors don't provide acceptable levels of smoothness, ie, total.

The estrogen thing is a joke right, surely that won't work. 😉

I shave my skin off in search of this unattainable "total smoothness" feeling that was falsely advertised to me, because I am too dumb to realize that the razor companies will say anything to sell their blades.

Incalculable amounts of bloodshed ensue.

Fixed for you.

I dont believe its permament.

That said, most likely you just arent properly using the razor. My face is sensitive as hell to shaving and even I can manage it.....Most of the time......

I recently read that lasers don't work very well for beard removal due to the coarseness/size of the hair. I'll see if I can find the article...

Bingo!

...so according to that, it *may* work for you.

umm, step 1: learn to shave...

😛

edit: you could try waxing and tweezing.

You must be using it wrong or used a very cheap brand. Get a good shaver and you can achieve a shave as close as a blade. My wife hates beard stubble and she never complains after I shave with my electric.

Is your face covered in acne or something? What the hell is there that you cut so consistently...

Hell I have a fair amount of acne and I think I've cut myself 3 or 4 times max in the 5 or so years I've been shaving.

Learn to shave. If daddy didn't teach well enough, find the first male stranger and ask him to show you how. Your thread seriously makes me sad 🙁.

I'm skeptical a electric can get as close as a safety razor shaving against the grain.
THAT is a SMOOTH shave.
