Darn, only 5 years?

I'd hope he won't get sent to some nice high-class "resort prison," but given his wealth and political connections, there's not much sense in hoping.

What's the difference between a good lawyer and a great lawyer?
A good lawyer knows the law. A great lawyer knows the judge.

Should have offered more to the judge. They are just as corrupt.

They offered $50k after they won $900 MIL, yeah the judge was insulted.

Yes, the bribe needed to be something more like 10-20M USD.
