Just wondering about the laws for this were. I know that they are forbidden in Canada but in the states they can run rampant and do as they please.

For instance,

If one were to get bail then I can see them signing some type of waiver allowing the bounty hunters to do whatever they like, but what would happen in a situation where say, I was offered Bail and agreed to their terms, I skipped bail, and was hiding out at my friends house.

If they had a tip that I was staying there, but no agreement with said friend to search their house or no warrant, could they still break in and search based on a tip?

If so, then would this law outweigh the law that allows citizens to protect their homes against intruders with justified force, i.e. Bounty Hunter demands access to my house on information that I am hiding a wanted fugitive. If he were to walk in and I were to shoot him, or beat him how would that situation play out? He is trespassing right?

Just a little confused.

Its my understanding bounty hunters in the US have more rights than police officers to do whatever they please when searching for bail/bond jumpers. Besides I am almost positive that bail agreements cover every possible angle to protect the bounty hunter.

They must cooridinate with law enforcement wherever they are. Otherwise you can imagine what a police officer might think when he sees some armed men kicking in a door, not knowing the are bounty hunters.
