ok, i searched but couldnt find this one type of lawnmower. its the kind where people stand on the back and have the mower pull them. i think its commercial, but ive seen a few residential folks using it. im getting lazy and cant push a mower any longer.

don't want to walk 🙁

grass gets thick and i get tired quick

Then you probably want a lawn tractor or riding mower; sit down, enjoy.

Cup-holder option ftw.

There are "Stand-on" mowers and the more common sulky attachments that you've already discovered. Frankly, a zero-turn riding mower would probably be easier to maneuver as any mower large enough to be a stand-on or to pull a sulky isn't going to be much smaller than the little 30" ZTR mowers.

A couple of ZTR options:

Dixon, they were among the first ZTR mowers on the market. http://www.dixon-ztr.com/node2360.aspx?nid=142441

Simplicity, they make solid traditional mowers, I haven't used their ZTR line, but as I said their other mower lines are quite solid. http://www.simplicitymfg.com/products/zero_turn/axion/

I really don't see a stand-on or sulky mower being any easier to maneuver than a small ZTR.

This is what I've been using to mow my yard and neighbors yards for them. Works well, but has zero safety features and if your yard is on an incline, forgetaboutit.

Big Mow

Picked it up for a buck at an auction a couple years ago and finally got around to making it run. Just need to weld some sheet metal on in a couple places and get a tire with air in it for the front with some traction and i'll be set.

They are not, but I like the Standers for a couple reasons. I can get to the mowing deck easier for maintenance, i'm standing, so over rough ground, my legs take the shock and i'm higher up so I can look for junk on the ground and it's easy to get off to pick it up.

That loooks like it was cobbled together from spare carnival ride parts. It frightens me a little, too.

do you have a regular mower or a self propelled one?

you still have to walk behind a self propelled one, but at least you don't have to 'push' it...

I used to ride one of them cutting my parents ~6 acres!

3-wheeled bastard - but it worked.

yep.. its an old tecumseh-lausen engine, H60 to be exact, and check out the drive belt on top of the engine that goes to the steering wheel area.. this is front wheel drive and thats the drive belt to power the chain driven front wheel.

This is a bigmow / ride king, circa late 1950's, early 60's made by swisher. You can still read about it on their website.
