Don't take it to an engine shop. They'll charge you just to look at it

HAHAHAHA

4 stroke = separate oil reservoir.

2 stroke = you mix the gasoline with a percentage of special 2 stroke oil.

Why? Because that's not where it goes. Take it somewhere before you fuck up something else, like put grass clippings in the gas tank.

Better yet, hire someone to cut your grass.

Is there no way to just clean it out? Or is it screwed up for good?

On the off-chance that you are not a troll, I will answer simply.

If you poured oil into the air filter, you better take the lawnmower to a real engine shop. Don't try to start the engine.

I can assure that I am not a troll.

Can you elaborate on your answer?

I'm surprised nobody link him to a manual yet.

http://www.briggsandstratton.com/engine_power/engine_details.aspx?pid=11

That's your engine.

EDIT: Nevermind. Fooled by a bump of an old thread.

Thank you. That looks like the engine I have. Where is the manual for it? Can you post a direct link to the engine manual because I don't have the model number and engine type numbers.

Other than taking the engine to a shop what can you do at home regarding putting oil in the air filter?

The oil would go into the cylinder and cause damage as the piston tried to compress the oil. All kinds of bad stuff could happen and the motor could be ruined. DO NOT TRY TO START THE MOTOR. In fact, remove the sparkplug now.

If you did indeed put motor oil into the carb then you could remove the sparkplug and turn the motor upside down until all the oil drained out the spark plug hole. Pull the handle a good number of times while upside down and plug out to try to get all of the oil out.

And Dr Ne. Where is my shubbery? I demand shubbery!

Well, hopefully this will work. I will drain the oil out and let it to dry out for a couple of hours. Pour the oil in the right place once I find that place, pour the gas in the gas tank and start it. If it doesn't work, nothing can be done right?

At this time, you have a total of 6 posts...all of them in an old lawnmower thread.

WWYBYWB?

Why should we believe you're NOT a troll?

My guess is that he googled something like "where do i put oil in 961140007" which puts this thread on the first page.
