Lawn boy mowers?

I was in need of a new mower and looked at home depot. Initially I was thinking a Honda one since it's well know but they were a bit on the expensive side. Saw Lawn Boy had a self-propelled one for $300. Internet reviews look good. Wondering if anyone here has any personal experience they would like to share.
 
Thats a Lawn Girl mower. I prefer the toro over the Lawn Girl, but I'm going by models of a few years ago, not this year's. Used to have problems with bagging, but maybe they've fixed that.
 
I've a got a regular Craftsman that I bought 5 years ago, mulching/bagging, non-power assisted. The thing is great, i've done zero maintenance to it. I sharpen the blade, that's it. It still starts on the first pull everytime. I think i paid less than 200 for it. That's really the only experience i can share with mowers.

I am using a 1986 Vintage 2-cycle self-propelled Lawn-Boy I "inherited" when my Grandmother passed away a few years ago. It is still going strong, so I would say they are reliable.

I have two self-propelled mowers, one of which is an MTD (same as Lawn Boy?) that I bought in 1999. It is now my primary mower until I get my 2009 Troy Bilt fixed. The thing just works and keeps going -- I had very low expectations when I bought it in 1999, as I only paid $230 for it and just wanted a cheap, self-propelled mower to last me a few years.

My dad bought a Craftsman mower a couple years ago and the thing is a piece of crap. Wheels are bent outward and the self-propel drive is really, really weak. It's basically a push mower.

j/k, apparently the craftsmanship of a craftsman is hit or miss, myself, i've had no issues.

Huh...that looks like the one my grandmother's got too, same offset front wheel and all, though I don't think hers is self-propelled.
 
Had a push mower previously, wasn't a issue on my property. Only one area is kind of hilly. It's less than a 1/4 acre anyway.

I used one of those for almost 20 years! my neighbor still has one

They are still great mowers. I have 3 off the offset wheel lawnboys and they run great. Not many mowers are still running 20-30 years later.
 
Picked up a Craftsman for $220 at Sears. First cut with it, the height was too low. My yard look bald and I ended up with 2.5X the clippings as usual.
