Really lame. If you need to see if the wheels are turning to decide if a vehicle is moving you need to get teh fcuk off the road. :|

I hate spinners, but I hate pricks like this more.

"That's crazy. If somebody can look at wheels spinning and . . . can't tell if the car is moving or not, maybe they shouldn't be on the road," said Chad Saxton, a salesman at Total Truck in Des Moines.

He can't tell if the car is stopped... uh... look at the car, if it's still moving, well, then it's not stopped. Perhaps he should be going a little slower if he can't judge traffic patterns while pulling a trailer... etc...

That said, I think they are annoying as hell, and wish the fad would die. I can't see a law banning them because of his stupidity though.

Wow, that guy is a jackass. The only way you can tell they're spinning is if you are on the side of the vehicle. If you can't tell if a vehicle is speeding up or slowing down while you're next to it, time to re-evaluate your driving privileges.

Or just shoot yourself in the head and get it over with... whichever is more convenient at the time.

Though I think spinners are retarded, this proposed law is even moreso.

I personally don't care for spinners, but they don't bother me that much. If you want to spend your entire paycheck on shiny spinning objects, be my guest.

I'm ashamed to say that this came from my state.

On the upside at least we aren't Georgia.

We should fine people for engine braking. After all, your brake lights aren't turning on and thus, I have NO idea whether you are slowing down or not.

While that's some awfully funny sarcasm, I've lost count of how many times I've either been the person doing the engine-braking and having some ditz almost rear-end me, or having to holler at an idiot driver as a passenger to get on the goddamn brakes.
