I've heard all the buzz and small talk amongst people about CSI. So I finally started to watch a few eps here and there. holy shiet it sucks!!!

it has nothing on Law and Order.

Law and order is infinitely better than this CSI crap.
CSI has stupid music, some piss poor directing, and pretends to be smart. overacting is common, and the show is laughable. Some of the female characters act way too seriously. The female character's acting make me laugh. it's almost comedic

Law and Order's acting, directing is SOO MUCH BETTER. It's a better show through and through, and seems more realistic, or seems like it can really happen.

CSI is just utter crap layman's show. Some of the ways they figure out the crime is just too outrageous. It's as if the characters already knew the ending, or well, in this case, a script. The way they come to their conclusions isn't convincing to me.

Also, the actor's dress/hair/age/crap style doesn't match w/ their roles. Show tries to look cool, youthful, but fails miserably.

people should get their heads checked, and watch L&O only, so CSI can finally get off the air.

hehe ya, you just can't stop watching. It's not a show where you really look foward to, but once you start watching the first few minutes, it's over, you're watching the whole show! hehehe.
 
csi has jumped the shark, its sucked for atleast the last two seasons. l&o is inconsistent but thats to be expected considering how long its run😛
 
I watch CSI on Spike..they rerun the older shows - since I recently started watching it, they're mostly new to me. 😛

Haven't watched L&O yet, though.
 
I cannot stand L&O, in any variation. I think SVU should be taken off the air, it's plain offensive. CSI I at least find interesting.
 
I enjoy both CSI and L&O. All of the spin offs of CSI and L&O could die tomorrow and I wouldn't care.
 
L&O:SVU and L&O are awesome, not a fan of criminal intent though. I watch CSI as well, although I have to agree the way they solve the crimes is a little outrageous its still fun to watch.
 
My Opinion (like you all care 😉 )

Forensic Files, Medical Detectives, and the REAL THING documentary shows on TLC, Disovery, and Court TV trump these fictional shows!

Give me REAL cases, REAL science, REAL detective work any day over this fictional fluff.

The "science" on CSI is laughable at times.

Who the Hell cares?!? It's a TV SHOW: for ENTERTAINMENT! It isn't a freaking documentary of modern forensic procedures. So take it for what it is, something meant to entertain, and move on.
 
I'm not too fond of the L&O spinoffs but the main show is quite good and well above the quality of CSI. CSI to me is barely above its knockoff Bones in quality. I never understood what the appeal is.
 
The CSI spinoffs are much weaker shows than CSI:LV. I actually still enjoy the original, though I thought last night's ep kind of sucked. L&O is, as people have already pointed out, very inconsistent these days but still has its moments. I miss Jerry Orbach though. I didn't like SVU in the beginning but I've started warming up to it a little more. The other L&O spinoff I don't bother with, although the return of Chris Noth had me somewhat interested for an ep or two.

EDIT: But they are both, to a certain extent "procedurals". One takes place more in the courtroom, the other more in a lab.
