They've had a pretty assistant ADA for many years. It's implied as part of the storyline that McCoy picks them out. So the eye candy fits in well.

But detectives have to play a grittier role. Mariska Hargitay does it pretty well in L&O: SVU. I hope the newbie can do half as good a job.

I loved Serena in L&O, but I am turned on by Novak in SVU. Same with Mariska.

I'm pretty sure I'm missing at least one too. I guess they're trying to repeat the hot partner part of SVU though (CI got a new partner as well for one of the two pairs).

Bah! L&O kind of sucked way back then. You had that lachrymose turd instead of Jack McCoy at the time as well. It was just so dull. Then again, now it seem so sensationalized -- go figure.

Jill Hennessy and the blonde were the only hot ones IMO. Not sure about the current one. The chick that was supposed to be from Houston was meh and had a manish voice, and the short haired one... I like short hair on girls, but it didn't help her much.

And uh... yeah, Robinette. Back when they forgot they were supposed to include a token female or two in the cast.

They cancelled Conviction after like 6 episodes (but I think they kept playing the full 13 episodes that they bought).
