There are several links to this, but honestly that wasn't the biggest gaff in the interview, she said that the 'mission accomplished' banner that hung behind dumbya was only meant for those on the USS Lincoln, that their mission was accomplished, never mind dumbya stating that major combat operations in Iraq have ended.

First Lady Laura Bush said, "I don't think there's anything wrong with singing it in Spanish."
What people want is it to be sung in a way that respects the United States and our culture," she said.

But when it was pointed out that this position differed from her husband's, the first lady had a different answer.

"Well, I think it should be sung in English, of course," she said

It would be really hard to deal with lower gas prices, politicians being held accountable, and maybe a much lower deficit.

When he said major combat operations in Iraq had ended, he just meant for that day. He could tell the troops were getting tired and it was Miller time.

And what the First Lady said doesn't really look like flip-flopping to me. To me it looks something like if you asked me, "Do you like red cars?" I could say, "There's nothing wrong with red cars." But if you ask me what color car I prefer I might say, "I think I'd like to have a blue car." It's called "acceptance" or "tolerance." You acknowledge the fact that red cars exist and that there's nothing wrong with a red car but you'd prefer a blue one. . .that's all.
