I think its suppose to be cold because it prevents the colors from running. But i find that after ive washed it a few times there isn't much a problem.

I always use warm. Warm water cleans better, period.

wtf. you actually split your colours. all colours mixed together with warm wash cold rinse,

I'm lazy. I throw my dirty ass socks in hot with bleach. Everything else (darks, colours, whites) go in together at warm. Never had any problems.

Cold unless they are "dirty". If so use something like Shout on the stains and switch to Hot.

If thats too hard then make sure you put a label on your machine that says "Take off clothes before washing them" :p

I wash all my clothes at 40C, but colors and white seperated ofcourse.

I wash almost everything warm/cold rinse. Bed sheets & towels get hot wash/cold rinse.

Dark colors, unless the specific fabric says otherwise, would get warm wash / cold rinse.
