latest WW2 or FPS game?

Just built a nice system and I need to test it. What's the latest WW2 game or any good FPS with awesome graphics?
 
I liked Call of Duty 2 a lot, too bad COD3 is not out for PC yet :-(

how can it be better? its a totally different genre.

if you want to show off your system or see what it can do, CoD2 would be "better" for that.

CoD2 is a really fun FPS game too.

Two different games alltogether. Both are WWII games but CoH is an RTS and CoD is an action FPS.

F.E.A.R will test your system the most, however I didn't like it much. BF2 is much better.

Get BF2 and CoH and you'll be happy for quite a while 🙂

i already have BF2, but i thought the gameplay was so pretty slow. i like the action FPS where i can get in there and slaughter a lot of people but also creep around to complete objectives.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with the above posters saying that you can't say that CoH>CoD2.

Yes, they are games in two totally separate genres, but CoH is an infinitely more polished experience. CoD2 is just cashing in on the success of its predecessor while CoH is a fresh, well done game that brings new things to the genre.

Also: as for pontifex's comment that CoD2 will put one's system through its paces, I have to disagree there as well. CoH is more demanding, and takes a major rig to run at max details. I play my games on an A64 3800+/2GB RAM/ X850XT at 1280x1024. I can max out the details in CoD2 (no AA/AF tho) but I can only play on medium detail in CoH.

Edit: I'm not saying CoD2 sucks btw, I just think it's not as good as CoH. BTW, I would say that CoD1 and CoH are "equally good"...mathematically speaking, CoH=CoD1>CoD2 😀
 
FEAR combat is an free online version of Fear with deathmatch, capture the flag and team play that might interest you for a quick fix. May not be great for benchmarking since its online, however, it might be a little fun and give you an idea of what settings you can run in such an environment.
 
Well, DoD:S is pretty intensive, at least when I crank it up to 8xS w/ SuperSampling AA and max IQ settings. Drops to 25~ fps in heavy combat on my 7950GT. It isn't as rough as CoD2 at those IQ settings simply because CoD2's rendering engine is one massive sewer of inefficiency.

COD2 has a nice combination of both Single player+Multiplayer.Whereas DOD:S only has mulitplayer...which is IMO way better than COD2 multiplayer.
 
If you want to benchmark, and you have to choose a WW2 game, I'd go for CofH. It's showing up in alot of gaming sites' best graphics awards and there's an option in the menu to benchmark your system against a recorded sequence.

In terms of other FPSs I'd say Prey, FEAR, Half Life 2.

EDIT: for the system you you have, you can do WAY better than than a year old WW2 shooter.

EDIT: just rememberd, Rainbow Six Vegas. Judging by the recent benchmarks anandtech.com posted, it's sure to bring your system to it's knees.
