oh gosh, the crossfire commercials! we saw them so many times while watching WB that we eventually broke down and bought the game

it was alright, but nowhere near as sweet as the commercial made it look :colbert:

If WB was around back then it was just the syndicated Primetime block for adults. It was probably the same station that played WB shows but the kids block playing this wasn't WB.

"Back then?" I could swear that commercial kept coming back every year for 8+ years.

I know, but those years were all late '80s, early '90s. It would have stuck out horribly to show that "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" kid in that jacket with those stupid gloves in 1995 and later.

Same, one of the few commercial-pushed games my parents bought.

Had a hard time finding a kid-sized leather jacket as well :(

My, that was a boring, low-res ad...

I'd like a higher resolution too. The part where the two scenes plate over each other in segments really needs it. As for boring: the ad plays on two levels of nostalgia which clearly do not appeal to you. It's a perspective difference (not necessarily taste). I just spent all morning and part of the afternoon playing classic Zelda II on an original NES. I stayed up late doing so the last four nights in a row too. If you aren't a classic Nintendo fan I wouldn't expect the commercial to appeal to you.

As a huge classic Nintendo fan, I had to have that Classic NES Edition even though it was my third Gameboy Advance SP. Also, few commercials had over-blown CGI + bullet-time visuals like that then, so the contrast between old and new is lost now 10 years after that commercial was made.

Yaz - Situation was the perfect music choice too.
