Yeah, I hate all this crap. Even image carousels which are common on some websites.

I just want every story listed chronologically and that is all. This was perfected 10 years ago.

Use to read theatlantic until they spruced up their format (a month ago, and it isn't even that bad but I hate it).

B-b-but...but...infinite scrolling! ...and...and...parallax layers!
 
Agree op I hate it too, as I hate websites that auto load video, another growing trend. I like sites us has dailymail which although there is a lot of scrolling the site is just static text of a reasonable size and simple images. I don't want a user experience.
