Latest Israel suicide bomber attack a smash hit with Palestinians

Yasser Arafat?s state-run radio station gave unstinting praise Sunday morning (March 10) to two Palestinian terror attacks on Israelis Saturday night in which 13 Israeli civilians were murdered and more than 100 were wounded.

It was the clearest sign that the Arafat regime has moved to total public support for terror attacks on Israelis.

?The ?Brigades of the Martyrs of Al-Aqsa? and the ?Brigades of Izza al-Din al-Qassam? take credit for the two heroic martyrdom operations,? said Voice of Palestine state radio.

It was referring to last night?s attacks on a restaurant in the heart of Jerusalem and a tourist hotel in Netanya.

Voice of Palestine radio did not condemn or even hint at criticizing the attacks. In fact, it has made a point of playing joyous songs after attacks on Israelis--whether committed by Arafat?s Fatah Tanzeem militia or by the Islamic terror organization known as HAMAS.

?The Sharon-ite terror against our people continues,? declared the Voice of Palestine radio anchorman Nizar al-Gul as he opened the Sunday news programming, which described the Israeli bombing of Arafat?s empty Gaza headquarters as ?a cowardly act.?

...News of the latest attacks on Israelis was met with celebration by Palestinians in Lebanon's largest refugee camp. Scores of people took to the streets in the Ein El-Hilweh camp in the southern city of Sidon, firing their weapons and rocket-propelled grenades skyward and shouted "Allahu Akbar," or "God is Great."

🙁
and again its time for international peace keeping forces to try to loosen the tension between them, should have been done long time ago

Here is another link regarding Arafat.

........The crowd goes wild. Within minutes, some will be outside, throwing stones at the Israeli tanks in what has become a daily ritual. Some youths form a circle in front of Arafat and begin chanting: ''Oh suiciders, oh suiciders, give us more blood in Jaffa Street! Give us more attacks!'' The reference is to one of Jerusalem's major thoroughfares; Jaffa Street has been the site of three suicide attacks in the past six months.

Arafat, who condemns suicide attacks in daily press interviews, looks on with a huge smile on his face. ''We will march toward Jerusalem, millions will be martyred,'' he says, pounding the lectern. The crowd roars its approval.

Now for all the pro Palestinian people here, name just ONE rally where Israelies celebrated a military attack by their army on Palestinians during this latest conflict.

Just one.

Good point Tex. I'm interested in that answer also.

Isnt it about time we try to push for peace in the region instead at point fingers at one side and say they are evil?

But one side is more evil than the other.

Czar, you really are a doofus.

You need to study the history of Palestine for about 10 minutes to figure out that peace only sets in when there is a forced deportation of the trouble-causing population or that population is wiped out by militrary conquest. Then again, it took the Popes 300 years to figure out you simply can't control Jerusalem or God's promised land.

Stark,
If you belive one side is more evil than the other then there will be no peace. As long as both sides have leaders who think of nothing than the past and revenge there will be no peace because they belive the other side is evil.

I don't know.. you tell me since you've been the only one doing all the finger pointing. Looking at all your prior posts, I stand corrected.

I have just been trying to make those who belive that Israel is all innocent that Israel isnt all innocent. Hate or blind belive of ones sides innocence is something that this conflict does not need if there is ever going to be peace.

The only thing that peacekeepers would do is prevent the Israelis from retaliating for suicide bombings.

When outside forces try to resolve the conflict, the situation just gets worse. If you want the violence to subside, the best thing to do is not give the situation so much international attention.

Good on ya Tex. I dont think anyone will find such an occurance.

I find the heavy hand that Israel is so free to use pretty reprehensible. I mean here is a state founded on the violent takeover of land from the rresidents that was totally sanctioned by and supported by the west. THEY are the ones who decided to annex Palestine, and then when the world community says that giving back some of Palestine to the Palestinians is a good idea, the hawkish ultra conservative Israeli government uses any excuse to crack down.

But then we have the Palestinian terrorists. People who are willing to martyr themselves by killing civilians and themselves at the same time. And then be CELEBRATED as a hero. ERK. That is so wrong that there really arent words to describe it. And when Paletinians finally had world opinion on their side, they shoot themselves in the foot by encouraging even more of such senseless behaviour.

If there has ever been a place where the UN could actually do something with Peacekeepers, it's in Israel/Palestine.

Sadly, the US would block any such actions.

So we get stuck arguing the right and wrongs of a situation that HAS no rights..just terrible bloody violence.

Bleah. Sometimes I wonder what sort of world my son will grow up in.

Vespasian,
True, just by being there they would most likely just stop Israeli retaliation, but since the Palestinians want the peace keeping forces the Palestinians might be able to agree that one job of the Peace keeping forces wouls be to disarm the militants.
In too many occasions an outside force trying to settle a conflict has often resulted in even more violence, something that is very hard to predict that it happens or not.
I realy hope peace can be achived there soon🙁

It seems like everytime the U.S. tries to broker a peace agreement between the two sides, all hell ensues. Nevertheless, the U.S. is always being asked by the world community to solve the conflict. It's a terribly vicious cycle.

I think something is being overlooked here. This conflict is not between the Israelis and the Palestinians, it is between the Israelis and the entire Arab world.

The Arab goal is to remove Israel from the face of the Earth. No matter what the Israelis may give the Palestians, nor matter how many concessions they may make, the Palestinians are going to come up with a new wish list and their violence won't stop until they are granted their wishes. Then it starts over again. They want more, the Israelis give more.

The end result would be all the Israelis treading water while the Palestinians stand on the beach throwing rocks at them saying "Die you filthy pig Jews! You are not even humans. You are lower than bacteria and now that we have your land we are going to build boats to come out and drown all of you!"

This is what Israel is facing.

have there been any rumors that arafat is not mentally stable anymore? i see arafat as the biggest obstacle for the palestinians.

you have to lead by example, and im sure if they were to get a new leader that had some sense, a lot of progress could be made.

Vespasian,
I'v also been reading that the Arab stated that if the US wants any chance of convincing them supprting a war against Iraq the US must start peace negotiations between Palestine and Israel. The reason probably why the world is always asking the US to start the peace talks is probably because Israel only listenes to the US. Might be a longshot but maybe the US should reprisent Israel in the peace talks and either the EU or the arab countries should reprisent Palestine, small chance it might work🙂

Please let us not forget that the arab claim of "occupation" is foundationless and an outright lie. the land israel occupies was not arab land prior to israel. the arab people are nomads, they aren't civilized and they definitely didn't develop the land in that region. it is evident today, looking from a mountaintop you can see where israel ends and other arab territories begin where it turns from a mecca of industry and technology to a stark, empty desert. how, then, can these people own the land that they do nothing with? then we move on to the point of the territories which have been given back to the arabs but certainly never should have been. those territories were won by israel when arab nations went to war with israel, not the other way around. you can't have your cake and eat it too (try to kill the israelis and call take-backs on everything they win when your incompetency makes you utter failures in your self-initiated war). the arab people have no claim to the land, they should be driven out because their only interest is terrorism and chaos. uncivilized people should not be allowed to exist in a civilized land such as israel

please pardon my grammar and sentence structure, i'm dead tired

Looks like we have a jewish fanboy here, and mighty stupid one at that.

I'd love to be there at the moment after the suicide bombers deaths(or any religious person for that matter), when they realize that there are no virgins, no heaven, and that it's all been a farce and totally for nothing. What fools these people are fighting for something they have no idea is even real. That whole part of this planet should just be sectioned off, and whoever wants to leave can, and those who stay can kill each other off, at which time we open it back up and repopulate with normal people.
