In the previous CBS-New York Times poll, which conducted Feb. 24-27 had Kerry leading Bush 47 percent to 46 percent.

When the pollsters put consumer advocate Ralph Nader and his independent campaign for president into the questioning, Bush's advantage grew to 8 percent -- with the president's support remaining at 46 percent but Kerry's dropping to 38. Nader pulled 7 percent support from respondents.

not very good news for Kerry as this is the pretty much a high point in his campaign. Still, Nader should not be able to get 7% as he won't be able to get on the ballot in many places running as a so-called independent. Polls now are pretty meaningless and national polls of registered voters are even more so. I would be more curious to see state by state polls in battleground states i.e. the Miami Herald Poll showing Kerry ahead in Florida.
I think if I were in the Kerry camp, I would be heartened by the fact that GWB is under 50% to reelect meaning people are willing to consider an alternative to him.

Never will a democraticorporate whore be elected again.
Just dig it, dear disillusioned democraticorporate voters!
It is between the candidate of the people and the biggest corporate whore now.
Nader or Bush.

yep, it's time for you progressives to jump ship for the true anti-business; you know Kerry's just going to be as bad as bush anyway.

Washington Times.
This election is going to be between keeping Bush and throwing him out. If people want to keep Bush, they'll vote for him or Nader. If they want to throw him out, they are going to Vote for Kerry. Of course they may preffer Nader to Kerry, but come election day, the choice will be 4 more years of Bush or not.

Four more years of an old or new corporate whore, or at last four years of a candidate that stands for the people?

Do you EVER read anything before spouting off your Limbaughsian diatribe?

The nationwide poll was conducted March 10-14 with telephone calls to 1,206 adults, including 984 registered voters.

Bush's attack machine was in full gear when this took place.

Remember, it is not too late for Kerry to name Bill Clinton as his running mate. You can only be ELECTED to the presidency 2x, says nothing about being appointed. Now doesn't that just scare the hell out of you cons? Kerry wins, steps aside, and good old Billy Boy takes over again. Hee haw.

Clinton Says He Has No Plans for Office

"I think Hillary's doing a good job, and one of us in politics is probably more than enough."

A moot point since Kerry will never ask Clinton but
What about Amendment 12 to the Constitution:
But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
Amendment 22 makes Bill Clinton ineligible to be President (no more than 2 terms) again so he in theory cannot be Vice-President.

The question is, what is the projection of how many states Nader will get enough signatures to appear on the ballot?

If one is more than enough, doesn't that mean zero is the optimal number? ;)

Actually, i have no problem with Hillary. She's turning out to be far more politically savvy and moderate than i would have guessed before her election.

Bush doesn't need an attack machine so much as a 'truth telling' machine; it's the libs that need to lie about face to face foreigner support to try to suggest they should run the country.

heck, Kerry should just run on his REAL campaign: "the French love Kerry!"

Wasn't he on 44 state ballots last time?

CkG

Apparently in this case it IS easier being green, as he's got little chance in many states he did well in last time.
