Latest Bruce Willis Film: 16 Blocks

I enjoyed it as well. Good action flick. Mos Def came off as annoying to me, which is what he was probably trying to accomplish.

Yeah, his voice was so annoying I couldn't even understand it some of the time. Good movie though. I like the ending they put in, even though it wasn't the one they intended.

I watched it for the third time, its definatly one of Bruce's different roles...playing as a slugish old-retired cop.

I liked it, except the black kids voice, wow...how raspy :Sxx

INCREDIBLY annoying. I think that was the direction the director wanted to, but I think it was taken a bit too far.

Other than that - Great flick!

I will have to get that...saw it last night a the video stand but picked up Running Scared and Ultraviolet...Running Scared was great, Ultraviolet good SGI

another Bruce Willis plays burnt out cop who accidently gets sucked into something far greater than he originally intended? could be good =\

Potential Mild Spoilers.

Terrible, simply terrible movie. Everything from when they get to the bus (not the flashback, but when they "catch up" to the flashback) was just a joke. Absurd plot turns that make no sense and could have been better written by a 12 year old.

Ultraviolet is the worst movie that has come out this year.

The black guy is Mos Def.

Funny that this thread popped up because I rented it yesterday. Great movie. I was entertained all the way through. But I do agree that Mos's voice was very annoying.

Completely agree. One of the worst movies I have seen in the past month. Absolutely ridiculous plot, acting, everything.

If you want to watch an insane movie, rent Running Scared. I knew nothing about that movie and after I watched it my mouth was hanging wide open in complete shock as to the things I had just seen. And it was put together well, with good acting by Paul Walker.

i enjoyed the movie, especially the whole real-time aspect of it all. but yes, mos def's character's voice was annoying. but then i just interpreted it as he was a little slow, and after awhile i kind of just shrugged it aside. i mean, i didnt mind the dude's accent in 'something the lord made' and as a fan of his music it kind of bothered me for a bit but i tried to not let it dampen my movie watching experience.

I only watch bruce willis movies when he has funny witty sart ass comments throughout the entire 2 hours of the movie...

that being said... well... does he?

Pretty much my impression, too. I watched this movie a couple weeks ago and hated almost every minute of it. It was the same damn Bruce Willis ******, just repackaged and aged.

On top of that, Mos Def was insanely irritating (intended or not, I don't care).

On top of THAT, the movie was about 2 hours longer than it needed to be.

*YAWN*

Nothing that he hasn't had scripted in a dozen other movies.

Seriously man, this could have just been called Die Hard: Retirement.

Aeon Flux is very close to it.

liked this movie, by the way you can't compare this to the die hard movies. this is totally different type of movie, and i think this movie did not have big gaping plot holes. it was enjoyable and lately many movies have been such a dissapointment (ahem ultraviolet)

i wouldn't say its one of his better movies. the movie is absolute average. not one bit better, not one bit worse. it's just a very average movie. mos def's fake retarded/slow accent gets annoying very quickly too.

i wish i hadn't seen this in the theatre and just waited for dvd.
