Ok here's what I'm looking at for my 3700+ a64
OCZ 2G(2 x 1G) Platinum PC3200 2-3-2-5 Dual Channel $257
OCZ 2G(2x 1G)Platinum PC4000 3-3-2-8 Dual Channel $312
money is no concern here. I want to know which option will result in the best performance. This is strictly my gaming machine here so keep that in mind. The way I see it, I could go with the 3200 and clock it as high as it can go without raising cas 2 and then use a divider from there, or loosen the timings and take it higher and save 60 bucks which I probably won't do. Or since I've gotten my 3700 to 248x11 and I think it will go higher I could get the 4000 for the extra head room, run 1:1 but with looser timings. For games, which should I be willing to compromise in order to get the best performance? I don't care how minimal it might be, I just want to know what's better.
From what I've read, ocz platinum ocs like crazy and that's why I've narrowed it down to this brand for sure. Suggestions/info? Thanks guys. AT rox0rs.
