I agree with your assessment. Hit up Hulu or NBC while some videos are still up.

Definitely an improvement from last night and headed in the right direction. His guest selection is definitely helping him out tonight!

He just needs to get comfortable enough to develop a flow and avoid those awkward, cringe moments.

I'm glad to hear some people think its an improvement. I'm not watching so can't really comment.

It was quite bad two nights in a row, and I'm very forgiving :( - Tina Fey was a good guest but Fallon had nothing to do with that. So far it's been like watching two nights of Carson Daily...which is bad :p - I'm thinking he's not going to rebound and this is about as good as it's going to get.

Ya, once he becomes more comfortable, things should smooth out, and people will get a better idea if they like his style or not.

Well, I guess you should quit watching then. Nice having you in the thread, see ya!

this is painful to watch.
he is so unnatural up there, no personality at all. reading straight off the telepompter.
skit was horrible, and he is not even giving cameron diaz a chance to talk.

and it HAS to be a laughter track because there has not been a funny moment so far.

oh, and please stop the fake bowling charades. totally ripping off conan.

Zero personality. Terrible TV voice. NBC will pull the plug on this steaming pile of dog poo.

Yep. The first 2 weeks of Conan were so epically bad that I gave up on him for a year. Fallon is actually more comfortable on camera than 1993 Conan. But you'd expect that from somebody who was on SNL for years and did weekend update, been on tons of talk shows as a guest, has done some (horrible) movies, etc.

I don't see Fallon getting hugely better like Conan did. He'll improve some and the show will get smoother, but he's already been around for years and you pretty much know by now what you're going to get with Jimmy Fallon. Conan was an unknown, unpolished turd in 1993, with a high ceiling as it turned out.

Yea but Conan wasn't on a live tv show like Fallon was for years before he got his own show.

Finally got around to seeing it. He's not too bad, I was expecting a more High Energy like he was when on SNL, but that probably wouldn't work well anyway. His Timing is a little off and he does have a habit of making lame jokes then trying to Sell them by laughing, but I think in time he'll turn into a good host.

I think Fallon will get better once he's more comfortable with the format. Yeah he did live sketch comedy, but the talk show scene is a bit different. I'll give him the chance to work it out and find his groove.
