Yep - they'll be putting one in delta park in the old Home Base store. They are also picking up another one of the empty lots adjacent to it. Supposedly this store will be bigger than the one in wilsonville. This was published in the oregonian in early september. I don't know the exact date they'll be opening though. It will be so nice not to have to travel all the way to wilsonville.

I'm so unbeleivably pissed. 15 citys, 15 giveaways and not one of them in within 4-5 hours drive from me. Geez, almost makes me want to buy a P4.

Driving past the Delta Park/Hayden Meadows location where Fry's is supposedly putting in the new store... shows not a hint of anything actually being done. I'm beginning to suspect that this plan has evaporated just like the claimed save of buying up what was left of Egghead by Frys, also located just north of Portland. And there are a variety of rumors about why that went up in smoke.

Yea, possible fry's backed out. Last i heard, they had finalized the lease on one building and were waiting to finish on the other.

Also, how much work do you think fry's has to do? They are nothing but a warehouse. Slap your name on the building, put up some bare metal shelves with cash registers, open the doors.

Man and I was seriously stoked about getting one so close to me, no having to wait for a bi-monthly or something pilgrimage to buy cd-r's, etc.
Plus, cheap pop for my LAN parties will be more readily available.

Heck, maybe i'll try to get a job there if they open one

I thought they were supposed to give 200 away. In Balltimore they only gave away 50, and about 1,000 people showed up to try to win.

From the reports I been seeing and from my family members who attended 2 events, there were about 1,000 people at each event. Chances to win basically dropped from 20% to 5%, but that doesn't mean you can't win!!!
