good music.

well, some of that is pretty decent. but you mostly need to give a more specific genre. if you're listening to music by decade instead of by genre, you're failing at listening to music. you're going to get mostly pop hits and miss most of the gems.

i would say '70's' is more your genre, since the 80's saw large influences from alt, punk, and metal (bit of metal on your list, but not the others). plus the late 60's and early 70's really saw a ton of fucking awesome 'classic' rock.

i endorse all bands named after cities. kansas, boston, chicago. and the who. and pink floyd.
