I use PasswordSafe because I don't want any syncing to some 3rd party webserver or anything like that. I protect both logical and physical access to my PasswordSafe files.

Edit: To be clear for this that aren't familiar with it, I'm talking about http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net . I have no idea about passwordsafe .com. It looks like they might be leeching off of the success and popularity of the real PasswordSafe.

Same here. It was developed by Bruce Schneier who is a security expert and it is free. I use it at work and at home. I keep the files in synch using my home server.

Still using Keepass here. i've got around 200 passwords stored, i have no idea what any of the them are

I use both.
Lastpass for all my browser related passwords: Websites, forums, ebay etc.

Keepass for all my offline stuff. Encryption passwords, software registration numbers, server passwords, domain passwords, Linux/SSH passwords, SSL certificates and private keys etc.

Can KeePass be used to auto fill my software licenses when I'm installing a program? I have like 15 product keys that I'm tired of copy/pasting all the time

noone said why lastpass or keepass, y'all just said your choice
I've been using lastpass for as long as I can remember, probably since the time it was first released, but it being compatible across all browsers has been the most important factor as to why I keep using it, the simple & feature rich interface is second on my list of reasons.

I like LastPass, I know I sound dumb but I still don't believe any password storing software/extensions, knowing all those encryption stuffs and all, so I never save my online banking sites there.

I use Keepass because It works well and I control the database. That means I know that it won't disappear tomorrow because the company went out of business. I know that it won't lock me out of my database and extort me for money because the company decided to sell out to Sony. I know that the company won't make a bonehead mistake and leave all my passwords unencrypted on an unsecured server somewhere.
I know all this with Keepass because I control the database.

Last pass is good because its accessible everywhere. That is also its drawback. But since they only store the encrypted form of your database its all on you to keep it secure with a strong pass phrase. I love last pass its a great tool.

I like keepass. It has a standalone installation so you can easily make backup copies and put them online if you want to sync between PCs. It is open source too which I think is great.

If you are worried they are going to allow someone to get your passwords there is no chance of that. Lastpass encrypts the passwords on your pc , they never have access to them at any time. The only thing they have on their servers is the encrypted form of your passwords. They don't even know your master password for the account, forget it and you lose all your passwords because nobody can get them back. They also allow you to keep the passwords locally on the pc while still being encrypted.

If you want further security, get a YubiKey or Google Authentication for Two-Step verification for LastPass.
