What was the last useless thing you bought courtesy of Hot Deals Forum?

I bought a 120gb hard drive even though I have 160gb hard drive already in my computer and have plenty of storage left.

I bought a new Cd RW from OffixeMax which was posted on Hot Deals when I thought my old one had broken. Ended up I was able to fix the old one, so now I have two CD RWs in my system.

Change rolls. No point in rolling change if they just run it through a machine at the bank.

I'd say the most useless was my Clie... and the 128MB stick.

I get some use out of the desktop software by using it as a PIM / Address book. I had tried some other free programs to do that, as well as act, etc, but none that I liked. On the plus side, I got it for dirt cheap at the time ($100) and the memory was <$40 at the time. I knew it was overkill, but, wasn't sure if I'd get a Sony Digicam. I ended up w/ a Minolta that uses C/F. That is probably one of the best purchases I made... at least of things I wasn't sure about.

Oh, and most useless of all time.... asked for N64 a long time ago, and got it for xmas from my wife, along with zelda and mario, and never really used it much. I didn't like the 3d versions of those games. Although I played mario pretty far and zelda a few hours. I haven't bothered to buy another console because I just don't have time to enjoy the games like I used to.

I still have it, and tell myself I'll eventually finish those games but I don't think I will. :(

It's good they do that, but, my wife had rolled a bunch of our change and had it sitting in a box. I brought some in after a bunch of nagging (I hate bringing change to the bank) and they tore open all the rolls and just dumped it in the counter-machine.

I was sortof afraid to tell my wife as she spent all that time doing that. On the plus side I can just bring a bag of change w/ me instead of rolls now.

Only downside was I had to wait for 35 minutes while the machine sorted all my change. I was only off by $0.26 too.

Well, they are useless to me. I'll probably use the camera when I get my new car though...

I bought 1000 Gold Plastic cards off of ebay with the thought that "Hey, I'll never know when I might need these, but I must have them"
They were only like 10 bux, and yes I think I do have a problem.

I picked up a WD 120 GB drive for $60 after rebates, and put it in my rig with my 80 GB Maxtor.

Altogether, I'm only using 8 GB out of the 200 that I have available. :) :(

I just bought an athlon XP 2400+ from newegg.com. I already got an XP 1600+ system which I'm perfectly happy with. I'm not running any application or games that require anything faster than a 600MHz processor.

Really? They told you that you were short, right? Those machines drop your change into thier innards all the time, losing it on their count. Tell them to open up the machine and find your 26 cents. They'll probably find a few bucks in there if they haven't looked in awhile.
