If you have EVER worked on a computer that used the old jumpers to set IRQ's, when was the LAST time you dealt with one?

It's been a few years for me.

I don't miss it! ;)

Month or so ago. Wanted to test a old PPro motherboard. Still running two PPro server.

My friend just got a 386SX computer from another friend that was built in 1991. On the modem card in the back were dip switches to set the comm port. He asked me if it could hook up to the internet. I have no idea what baud the modem was, I'm guessing 1200 or 2400 at the max. I told him it wasn't worth the hassle trying to find out. Can you nowadays even connect to an ISP at that low of a speed?
