Last time you cried in a movie?

Mine was in the new Star Trek movie that came out a few years ago - the first one after the Next Generation garbage ones.

Kirk gets his butt kicked in a bar fight. Commander Pike is talking to him after, with Kirk drunk and bleeding, trying to get him to enroll in Starfleet. Pike says to Kirk something like, "Your father was the Captain of a Star Ship for only 3 minutes. During that time he saved 2,000 lives, including your mother's, and your own. I dare you to do better."

Perhaps the best line in any movie EVER. I started balling like a little girl.

Yours?

I was with a group and they wanted to watch The Last Airbender. After about 15 minutes I started to cry, wondering when it would be over.

Last one in a theater? Interstellar. But other ones since at home.

The ending scene in Dead Poet's Society always gets me. "My captain my captain!" - Never fails.

I've never really cried, but have come really really close to crying in the following:
The life montage in Up,
"My friends, you bow to no one" in The Lord of the Rings,
the ending of Toy Story 3.
I feel the soundtrack has a huge role to play in all of these scenes. They are the basic trigger.

To answer your OP, the last time I was very close to tearing up was when I saw Interstellar. The Wormhole and the Black hole scenes in particular. So beautiful.

I don't think I ever cried during a movie before hormones. But damn. That Estrogen. One hell of a drug. 😵 Pan's Labyrinth had me balling.

I just watched that movie in Blu-ray last week, didn't cry. Yes the young girls sacrifice so that her newly born brother's life is spared was very touching and the right thing to do.
I'll be watching the other 2 movies of Guillermo del Toro, Cronos and The Devil's Backbone ASAP.

I've always been very emotional when watching movies. I'm not sure why. The answer will probably always be whatever movie I watched last. At this moment, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It wasn't the first time I saw it, either. Before that, Moana.

Sad cry? Requiem for a Dream, prior to that, The Motherfucking Notebook (got the GF back for that one though, made her watch Green Mile for the first time).

Happy tear-ups? Happens constantly, not sure why. I'm like one of those dogs that pees itself when you look at it, if I get too excited at something I get teary and sniffly, real weird. Last time was probably whenever we last watched Pacific Rim. Too much visual awesome in one place.
