Last question before I go to build my system

1) So my HDD going to use SATA instead of IDE cable. Now I have a DVDRW, and a DVDRom. SHould I plug the 1st (main) IDE cable into the DVDRW or DVDROM? And which 2nd IDE cable should go to? I don't want to have 1 IDE cable and plug into both DVD drive since it would slow the performance down. Thanks

2) I have a SOLTEK "SL-K8AN2E-GR" NVIDIA nForce3 250Gb, and I'm going to run a 3400+ Clawhammer. For people who know this Soltek mobo, do you guy update to the lastest BIOS yet? Or do you leave it by default BIOS?

Thanks

1. ) I would connect the DVDRW drive as Master on Primary and DVDROM as slave

2.) I would leave the default bios for now unless you have issues that would need to be corrected with a flash. This goes for any motherboards. If its not broke don't fix it.. its not worth the flash if everything is working ok.

Okay, I'm going to leave it by default for now. The reason I want to flash it as soon as I'm done with installing everything is because I borrowed a Floppy drive from my friend. What are the chance of being screwed when flashing mobo? Thanks

Unless your system has a backup BIOS, there is a chance you could make your motherboard basicly unusable.. Some recovery methods work, but its not worth it

Well, I've look through Soltek website, and most of the newer BIOS update are like: Support Cool'n Quiet for Semprum cpu...and stuff like that. Nothing really major update. Well, anyone here that own Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR, do you guy update your bios or leave it by default as FrequencyX suggested? Thanks
