I found a bag of frozen peas to be move effective than an ice pack since it can be molded to the shape you want more easily than a bag of ice cubes, and can easily be re-frozen as needed. Just make sure you don't mix it up and eat the product when you are done.
You think that taint sweat penetrates the bag? Hmmm, maybe that's why peas are wrinkly... :Q

My wife arranged it, and she said insurance is covering it 90% we pay a deductible but I think we've already met that for the year... so we shouldn't be paying anything but the co-pay or max $500..

It's ususally covered by insurance, though it's up to the individual employer if they want to exclude it apparently. It's covered because not having a kid is better for insurance companies than pregnancy and birth.

I don't think I would eat anything that was like .05 millimeters away from my sack.

I have a wireless laptop that will be in bed with me, and I plan to spend basically two days in bed, nursing it for all it's worth

What kind of pain perscription did they give you? Anything good? I've got plenty of beer, but I don't thin that'll cut it.. :D

Mine took about 15 minutes. The worst part was the ice cold freakin' disifectant spray he sprayed on there before hand. I'm surprised he could find my nuts after that..they shot up so damn far into my abdomen! ;) :p

Afterwards, go play a poker game in a smoke-filled room and then go to a cockfighting match. You will need to restore your masculinity.

It's a vasectomy...he's not becoming a eunuch.

That depends on who you ask.

Kind of a sad contradiction. Stereotypically speaking, guys don't seem to want kids, they complain about using condoms, but they don't want a vasectomy, which would pretty much take care of the two problems. In the wise words of Butthead, "Some people are dumb."

All I got was some prescription strength Naprosyn. Only needed it for the first day.

I also laid in bed with the laptop...the really uncomfortable part was leaning to the side to use it. Didn't exactly want it sitting on my boys right after the operation.

You've made the right choice. I don't regret getting mine at all.

I didn't feel much pain afterwords. There was some bruising but it went away in a couple of days. There was, though, some pain if my left testicle was tugged too hard for about a year after I got it done. That has gone away too.

I'm pretty sure you can still skeet after the sugury...?

You just have no fertilizing capabilities in it.

Am I right guys?

Yes you can. It's a slightly different color, but otherwise no change. People who make those comments don't have a clue what a vasectomy is.

only bad part is that sometimes it may not be 100%. I went in last week to see if it has worked. i still have swimmers! granted i they only counted 5 of them (yes 5 not 5 thousand. 5 of them). so they told me to have more sex and come back in 3 weeks for another test! heh
