Afterwards, go play a poker game in a smoke-filled room and then go to a cockfighting match. You will need to restore your masculinity.

Your urologist will tell you to lay with your scrotum higher than your heart for a number of days. Take this very seriously, I went back to work to early and one testicle swelled to the size of a grapefruit and hurt like hel for 10 days. Stick a few large pillows under the foot of the mattress to keep your boys high enough.

It's a vasectomy...he's not becoming a eunuch.

I'm 30, I have three children and I don't want any more.

They're expensive for one, and since I have contributed three, there has been a net gain in humanity, I see no reason to continue :)

I have cast my seeds to the wind, let them fall where they may. :D

Hey man, follow the doctors advice on rest and relaxation. I did. I had the vasectomy of Friday, releaxed all weekend. By Monday, the Wife and I were hitting it. It was only very slightly uncomfortable that first time. Have not slowed down since. It has been 9.5 years since then. Good luck, the only annoying thing is they usually give you a local, but I could feel the doc pulling on the tubes and could hear the sizzle from the cauterization.
The pulling on the tubes was uncomfortable to say the least. That is the worse part.

Have fun, but get back in the saddle again soon after, but wear protection. You can still supply navy personnel for up to 6 months after.

An old boss of mine got a vasectomy a number of years back. He has a gift waiting for him when he got back to the office - one of those giant M&M's where you pull the arm down and M&M's come out. It had a little band aid in the groin arean... :)

 Before you go through with this, think about the potential tax savings you will lose

The tax savings are nothing compared to the expense.

Good advise to take it easy this weekend. I had the big V about 12 years ago, and I have not regretted it one bit.

I found a bag of frozen peas to be move effective than an ice pack since it can be molded to the shape you want more easily than a bag of ice cubes, and can easily be re-frozen as needed. Just make sure you don't mix it up and eat the product when you are done.

The tax savings are nothing compared to the expense.

Estimates are an average of $165,000 per child from birth to seventeen. So a little over 29,000 a year for me.

My wife and I have both said if we really feel that we want more children some day we'll adopt, but I don't think that will happen. We got started early and I'm sure we'll really want to enjoy the fruits of that.
