Well I can agree with all of those but Married with Children. Wasn't it the second longest running sitcom ever first being The Simpsons? I think it had a pretty good run.

BTW MWC kicks ass and I still watch it every now and again on FX.

well i'm not talking about The Simpsons as the whole series, of course the simpsons are better. I was talking about the last few seasons compared to Futurama.

To be fair, I could go take a huge steaming dump that'd be better than the last few seasons of the Simpsons. Futurama was a pretty solid show, though.

I was never really a big fan of the show, but it's still a defeat for quality programming. I can't wait for all of these reality shows to die. Hopefully they die painfully.

Just like last year, the cable box goes back after the Super Bowl.

Winning awards is no guarantee the network will keep a show. Look at Farscape! High ratings, awards, still cancelled (but SciFi put Tremors on! @*#&$^(@#*$&^)

High ratings is an understatement. At the time it was cancelled Farscape had the highest ratings among all shows on SciFi. Somehow the network execs thought the ratings weren't high enough. We can hope a few years down the line that they elect to finish off the series with a movie or two, a la Star Trek.

Anyway, I could easily see Futurama pulling a lateral and going to another network, perhaps CN (if they have enough money to afford it) or one of the premium networks.
