I just bought a new comp system from newegg and it has been about 2 years since I put one together so I am running into a few problems.

MotherBoard ASUS K8NE Deluxe
Case ANTEC LAN BOY

First the 74GB Raptor seems to have 2 ways to power it do I use both of them or just 1 and if just one does it matter which?

Second on the Lan Boy case for the front there is a cord from the front just labeled LED where on the motherboard would that hook in I got the reset the power and hdd light hooked up

Third I have a sound card which I have always used on board sound before so if I hook the front sound things into the motherboard since there seems to be no slot on the sound card. will the sound card still operate correctly or do I have to use one or the other?

Fourth on my motherboard I have the big connector to the power supply but then there is also a power connector for thew 12v which I am not use to do I use both the big connector and the 12v or just the big one?

Thanks for the help

Everything ScrapSilicon said is correct, also w/ the Raptor, make sure you only use ONE of the power connectors or you can fry the drive, either works fine though so if you don't have an SATA power connector the molex will work just fine.

either power for teh raptor
look in the mobo manual it will tell you where to plug the led wire in, its in teh same place teh reset and power ones go
you need to use the one on the sound card

On the LED I have the power LED and reset and all that hooked up the problem is I also have an additional LED which I think is for the led that goes to the front fan I need to know where to hook that.

1, I would use the standard power adapter for the raptor "DO NOT PLUG IN BOTH AT ONCE!!!!!"

2,thats got me I guess that would be for some add on component perhaps,as long as you have hdd and power LEDs thats all thats critical.

3, Why in the world would even purchase a sound card when you have a totally sweet 8-1 system on board.
Send the sound card back the on board sound will be terrific I am sure.
And no you have to use one or the other.

The system will not even post unless you have the aux power plug inserted Thats the little one plugged in , you DO need both plugged in to have any success.
Good luck and pm me if you need help.
