By the way VERY HOT! I was going to get the Albatron from NewEgg for $440 but is this worth the few extra bucks? It'd be $44 extra if you think it is. The Albatron has a TV tuner, etc. Albatron Thread Not trying to thread bash, just want an honest opinion on which one I should get...it's a lot of money!

Should be getting mine today, although I ordered it two weeks ago :disgust: I will tell you all how I like it. For right now I can only use the analog connection untill I get my new system built. By the way with a stackable coupon I got it for 462.00 shipped.

That 18" doesn't appear to have DVI, unfortunately.

The rebate does appear to work for the 18" tho.

I got white because if I had gotten black, I'd need a new speaker set, keyboard, mouse, case, and everything haha and I would drive myself nuts (not to mention broke) if they didn't match :p

$520 same as I had at the top. I thought the rebate would work - I didn't look closely. But if I had bought the Albatron which was black, I had the order set for a new set of speakers, keyboard, trackball, and case. Too much work and too much money :( This is a good find IMO

i bought this monitor 2 weeks ago. Ive had it for over a week and its amazing. Its for sure worth the money. I bought it when dell had free s/h, 10% off all home purcahses and i had a $50 off $400 coupon, I got mine for $462 shipped. I got the black one since it looked cooler and matched my Ams gbox shuttle size pc. Went to a few lans already and people are jealous.

So Planar 17" LCD = 19" ordinary CRT?

I want an LCD badly but I'm on a 21" crt now, I don't want to lose too much space.

19" CRT is usually about a 18.1 inch viewable...
So the 17" LCD will be smaller.
A 21" CRT is usually about 20" viewable.
Can you deal w/ three less inches?

Guys I just got the monitor and it is really pretty. It needs adjusting but looks good so far. I haven't noticed any dead pixels so looks like the factory is doing their job. I Lub My New Toy!!!!:cool:

Is there any way you can post an actual picture of this lcd?? My Roomie wants to get one but wants a better pic.
