You know how they say, better safe than sorry

The board is ASUS A7V, CPU is Duron 700 (L7 bridges show that its running on 1.6v instead of 1.5 by default, quite frankly I don't like that), cooling is Alpha PAL6035+Arctic Silver. I hope to hit GHz with this setup.

To sum up my knowledge:

1. To change multipliers, you have to connect L1 bridges with a pencil (or conductive pen).
2. To rise voltage, you have to connect L7 bridges, again with a pencil or conductive pen.

...and then OCing or no OCing can be done by changing DIP swithces on the motherboard. FSB OC'ing can be done without altering the CPU.

I have 6 Duron 700s on order, as well as 6 A7Vs.

I don't think you need to do anything with L7. Use bios to increase voltage. Use a silver conductive pen or automotive rear window defogger repair kit for the L1 bridges. The pencil approach is not always long lasting.

I believe you can go up to 1.85V for the core using the A7V bios. There is a way to increase the voltage further, but I don't know if a voltage higher than 1.85 is safe for your Duron.
