No...it's not. In fact, people that watch laser TV also look younger, are less prone to get cancer, grow hair in balding spots, and it will resurrect dead pets to be good as new!

You'll have to excuse me now, I have a share holder meeting to attend.

Not to mention it makes your wiener grow 6" instantly.

It's been in the works for years now.

The narrating reporter had a really grating voice. He single-handedly turned me against this new technology.

Eh, for my next TV I'm waiting for one of those 3D jobs I saw on YouTube recently. Probably be expensive when they first come out though :(

Your handle fits you. You comment on a technology you obviously know nothing about and assume it's fraud. Nice...

Hell any TV can do that given the correct feed.

Coherent makes high end industrial lasers. I'll bet a lot of the components in your computer were scribed, etched and trimmed by Coherent lasers.

The problem is, that it is still projection. A true flat panel won't project. LCD FTW.

If it gives a better picture in a similarly sized footprint, why wouldn't you want it over an LCD?

All TVs use light, so theoretically all TVs "project". LCDs have pixel shift latency.

This is just an LCD projection TV with a laser backlight. Whatever you don't like about LCD technology is still here. What this does get rid of is the color smearing which results from the spinning color wheel. Also, the color is better.

But these advantages are already available in TVs with LED backlights.
