My mom is thinking of publishing her own book(let)

Anyway, she is wondering whether she should get a low end colour laser printer (like this one) and [rinter the covers herself. Perhaps getting an inkjet?

I dunno much about printers, so some help would be appreciated. Would an inkjet+expensive paper be better than a colour laser+cheaper paper?

Thanks for your help

get a laser printer, no question, the speed and font quality are absolute.

I love my brother HL-1440, I got it for about $200
If you think that minolta is cheap I'd say go for it.

How many booklets is she planning on printing? It may be much more cost effective to have them printed at a printing house like Kinkos or something. Color laser printers are not cheap and neither is printing with them. Look into the cost per page for the Minolta you're eyeing and then compare it to what it would cost long term having it outsourced.
