Laser printer question

A friend has an old laser printer, an OKIpage 10i/n. It was printing random text, installed fresh drivers and prints normal. Problem is that there is a black vertical line on the right side of the page. It did this before and after the new drivers. I am only familar with inkjets, where i would clean the print heads, but don't know what to do for a laser printer. Anyone have an idea?

Need to clean the drum or arc wire. Or since Oki uses a row of LEDs to sensitize the drum, some of the LEDs may be burned out or have some debris blocking them. Download the manual for it and look in the troubleshooting/cleaning/maintenance section or use the online resources for troubleshooting ideas.
