Hello, I own this okidata 600 printer:
http://home.comcast.net/~pcsimg/laser/okidata-600e.jpg

the LED light on the top (lets say back right) always blinks.

The only way to fix this is to push down on the top far end (the door that I would open to put in new toner).

I have to push down on it and hold it down the the LED to stop blinking.. (then it just turns solid and I hear the printer doing it's thing).. And then it will print

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I am at a loss of words to even google for :/

Duct Tape.

Otherwise look for a switch not making contact. Might be more inside where the toner/drum is.

If it is a switch which it sounds like it is
If you dont know how to take it apart to fix you can glue/add tape to the part to help it push the switch to make contact.

Good call.. I took out the toner and shut the lid (the lid aka top) went down all the way and the LED stop blinking.. so it must be a 'door is closed/door is opened' contact switch.

Now, I really will have to take it apart to figure how to fix it..

thanks

Took it appart... It looked like I needed to jam a pin top in the way of a moving part on the right side.. so that is what I did... And it worked! :)

(Man.. if this wasn't given to me.. I would be pissed, because something like this shouldn't happen.. oh well)
