Anyone recommend a good (and of course cheap) Laser printer. I was looking at the HPlaserjet 2200dt, love the specs but just a little too expensive, don't you guys think? Any replys will be greatly appreciated.....

My Epson 1400 is still going fine after 7 or 8 years. If I had to replace
it (they don't do lasers anymore), I'd definitely check out Brother's lasers.

The 2200d is cheaper than the dt, but only has two trays as opposed to three (manual feed + one cassette).

That might put it into your price range.

You ever consider a used Laserjet? Check lanadmarkprinters for used HP Laserjets. I have never dealt with them but they sound decent. I picked up a used LJ4 for $75 that included a font module and extra memory DIMM and it only had about 7200 pages printed on it. It looks like new and works great... there are also a ton of them on fleebay....

Another thing you should consider...

Used LJ's (pretty much any used laserjet, LJ3, 4, whatever) can be turned in for a pretty significant credit towards a new one. If you can pick up a used LJ4 for cheap in a thrift store, working or not, you could potentially get several hundred off the cost of a brand new printer.

Call HP & ask about their "trade in trade up" program.
