Las Vegas. Who has never been there and have no desire to?

Never had a bad trip there but I still feel the place is way overrated. Probably because I don't gamble. I've caught a few shows but felt they were only ok to good. They're not something I'd go out of my way to see. Eye candy is only so-so and there's probably more at the beach during spring break.

Been there several times and only dropped a couple bucks gambling. The fun part for us is shows, people watching, open beverage laws (can just walk around town with a drink), a wide variety of restaurants, and decent weather in the winter so it's nice to get out and walk around vs the midwest. We also really enjoy the spa at Ceasar's. That's a nice way to spend several hours.

The vast majority of the shows don't appeal to me and I won't go near a casino unless I suffer some massive brain damage at some point in the future. So there are few places on Earth I'd be less interested in visiting. Maybe Beirut, Damascus and whichever African country is having an ebola outbreak at the moment.

I was there 2 weeks ago and it was an eerie feeling walking through Mandalay Bay. It was still an early Sat evening and the place was practically empty. I think the shooting probably affected a lot of the foot traffic there.

Haven't been. I have no particular desire to appear there. It's just a single strip. I'd just be there for some shows, or shopping. Or a convention.

Guess I don't buy the hype.

everything is good in vegas if you don't gamble: top notch shows, food, hotels, recreation. it's all good until you run out of money...and then you go to the pinball museum.

LOL. I was in Secret Pizza at 2:00AM about 2 months ago. It was during the start of the NCAA tournament. The bro:ho ratio was high. Very high.

Been a few times. Only play blackjack and came out ahead every time. Never more than a grand or so, though. It's fun if you like to get shitfaced.

ah yes, that would be an issue. Otherwise, it's bachelorette party madness.

Another good people watching is when the Jennifer Lopez show lets out at Planet Hollywood. That's right near Koi which is one of our favorite places to eat. Go late and it's happy hour on a ton of appetizers. Watch drunk girls in their "going out" dresses stumble down the escalator.

One of my favorite memories of Vegas was sitting by the pool at about 11pm tripping balls and admiring how the air temp was so close to body temp that I couldn't imagine ever being more comfortable.

I won $12 from the slots at the airport. :D

I've driven through several time now but only spent one night there. The Motel 6 was okay.

The actual meaning of "tripping balls" is very different from what I thought it was.

Las Vegas is an adult playground, Kind of like disneyland to kids. What you want to play you decide? From Sex to gambling.

An interesting experience for me was participating in a recently legalized recreational product and going to a concert on like the 3rd floor of the Cosmo. There was a 40 x 40 mosh pit and the crowd was moving so much that it actually made the floor undulate. It was enough to actually make you bounce as it started to bob up and down. Combine that with an altered state and it was an interesting experience.

Oh...the Volcano at the Mirage when bombed...highly recommend!

one of my least favorite memories of Vegas was tripping balls on the strip and walking back from North Strip to South Strip at 4am.

I went once about 20 years ago. It wasn't all that fun to me. The outcome would have been the same as if I flushed $100 down a toilet. I'm not big into gambling anyway, and some of the shows were meh. About the only way I'd go back is if I had tickets to the 2018 SEMA convention.

Another recommendation - get the outdoor seating at the restaurant at the base of the Paris hotel when it's dark. Then you can have dinner and get a few showings of the fountains in front of the Bellagio that is across the street.

Not really a gambler but I would love to go see a big MMA or boxing event there. I was considering going for Miocic vs. Cormier in July but it doesn't look like I'll have the time.

Yeah I've never found extensive walking to be very compatible with acid. Protip: if you're ever having a bad trip just drink until the acid doesn't work anymore. Then you can float that line dipping in and out as needed.

The helicopter tours to the Grand Canyon are always interesting if you're not a gambler. I want to do the Jeep tour of Redrock canyon the next time I'm there.
