Stay classy, Israel. Someone's got to keep the threat level up in order to justify all that juicy US military aid.

If you ignore them will there poverty go away? Will they want to be your friend? If you ignore the problem, if Israel ignores the attacks will they develop a economy and give there kids some sort of future?

Or do you think peoples reasons for fighting are as linear as your thought process?

Yes, it has worked before, and it will certainly work today 😀

That is predominately Leftist approach, of lets all hug together and it will be OK. Let's talk it out. Peace at all costs. Chamberlain style.

This thread is now about sweeping generalizations!

- Every single Israeli wants to drink the blood of Palestinian babies.

- All British have horrendous teeth.

- Religious conservatives are all closet-homosexuals trapped in love-less heterosexual marriages.

- All the frat dudes in college are swimming in pussy.

I would like to know just how many actual civilians where killed and how many where terrorists. When people hear "X number killed in Israel air strike" they seem to assume that they where all innocent civilians, and when actual innocent civilians die never question why the terrorists where intermingled with them/human shields.

I hope they don't stop until there is no more hamas or any organized terrorist groups. As for civilian causalities, you reap what you sow.

It might even encourage those in the west bank to try and work something out peacefully.

Yeah, Israel should just wait for another year with 3000 rockets hitting Israeli cities.
Disgusting Israel.

heh. I was looking at the images at Getty and all I could think of was, "Nice shot." Thanks to the media, we get an up-close battle damage assessment.

It was interesting to note that were no weapons in any of the photographs. It's almost as if Hamas doesn't have them and they were innocently killed in uniform... or the photographer was trained well enough and waited until the weapons were removed from the frame before photographing the 'victims'.

That's very true. Unfortunately, those evil terrorists are sometimes fathers, brothers, sons, and grandfathers who live in the same home as an entire extended family of innocents. Don't assume that the innocent family approves of the activities, as they likely absolutely want their breadwinner to stay out of harm's way and "not get involved with those people." Let's not get into people walking down the street or shopping at a market when the rocket comes.

While Israel takes out that one evil terrorist, she tends to knock over a handful of people whose families will hate her as an entity for generations. The absolute powerlessness of the Palestinians in this situation only makes things worse. What recourse do they have? Are they going to write an angry letter to the editor, or write a petition?

You're right. Scorched earth is most effective policy, and it clears up land for more illegal settlements.

As for civilian causalities, you reap what you sow.

People who died on 9-11 were all little Himmlers, right?

You are an awful, obtuse human being.

I await your suggestions as to how they may be able to do that? Perhaps they should all just walk into the sea with the rest of the Palestinians.

They could admit defeat and surrender. They lost. Really. They're done. This is futile.

They could perhaps try to take a moral high ground through non-violent protest or other such means. Plus, it shouldn't be too hard to take a higher moral ground than a country like Israel.

They haven't lost when people in Israel shit their pants when they get on a bus.

Exactly true. When you do that, you are in the hands of your opponent. Now you're suggesting that Israel should be in the hands of Hamas, while keird essentially suggests they should be at the mercy of Israel.

Haven't seen any pants shitting yet. And I use busses every day, as well as thousands others. There hasn't been a bus bombing in how long?

The problem is the rockets, not the suicide bombings.

You know what, man: I've casually followed the news in the past week due to holidays and all. From what I've caught, a shit-load of rockets fell on Israeli border cities, 2 little girls were killed, and about 150 people caught the vapors.

If you think shitting yourself when you get on the bus is bad, think about how bad it might feel to be fully aware that you're a disposable meat-sack at your neighbor's mercy. If you get maimed or killed, there is no official acknowledgement and response to your death and the loss to your family. The police will never show up, because your neighbor is out of their jurisdiction. At best, you may hope, that your other neighbor might take matters into his own hands.

This is the problem at the root of this whole clusterfuck. When you treat people like animals in a cage, do you expect civility and manners?

Keep pestering that dog and poking him with sticks. He will eventually go for your throat. The problem here is that one dog is in a cage, and the other doesn't even have a collar.
