I have an Adaptec AAA-UDMA Raid Card and was looking for a BIG HD to use in a RAID 0/1 or RAID 5 configuration. Unfortunately, the controller card is only 24-bit LBA and the Maxtor 160GB HD is 48-bit LBA. As I understand it, the limit for 24-bit LBA is 127GB, so does anyone know if the 120GB Maxtor HD is 24bit or 48bit.
If it is not, what is the biggest HD available in 24-bit LBA from any manufacturer other than Western Digital.
I also have a spare 60GB Seagate Barracuda. Does anyone know if it is 24bit?
