This thread reminds me of the "Tuvix" episode of Voyager.
<EDIT> And what a sub-par episode that was... </EDIT>

neways...

The offspring was fathered by a tiger so it was called a ti-tigon. We have been presented with other examples of tigon/liger ofspring, including a very nice looking female tig-liger

so what do u call the anime when a ti-tiger and a tig-liger mate(assuming they've overcame odds and both were not sterile)?...

ti-li-tiliger?...

😕 😕

now why don't they show this kind of stuff on the discovery channel.

That's where I just learned of it.

Watching a story about Oliver (a suspected Humanzee) and that's where I heard of a Liger.

A humanzee????? I don't even wanna know...

Link? There was a thread about a humanzee? Link? Pics?

Ligers and tigons are real. they don't occur in the wild because tiger and lion ranges don't really overlap anymore plus they wouldn't get it on anyways. This is a purely captive bred phenomenon. And the cat that is pictured is just fat. I am pretty sure they are sterile and to aswer above, mules are sterile as well.

actually, my question was satirical in nature as the poster i quoted asked if it was possible to crossbreed.

my response was related to that question in the sense that, we've been cross breeding horses and donkeys to get mules for centuries now.

They love to eat something called, King Lion diet, which is made basically by taking a horse, a cow, a couple of pigs and a flock of chickens and putting them into a blender on high with all they parts and pieces. This ends up looking like a raw bloody meatloaf. They also enjoy restaurant quality chicken thigh quarters and chunk beef.

wow so weird that you checked this out last night Brut. I did the exact same thing. During the commercial breaks between "Humanzee" I checked out Ligers and Tigons. Also found another page with leopard/Lion hybirds. Weird stuff.

They bred one at the Hogle Zoo here in Utah in the 70's. It was a female and didn't have the mane or stripes.

They have it stuffed and on display at the zoo.
